Seen those too, Think someone on a landrover forum was going to take the plunge and see how good it is.

There is a few videos of it on youtube, looks like it does not have the same power as a proper powerwasher but certainly enough to clean the muck off after a offroad sesh.

Can't help on the winch I am afraid, but while I like the idea of the one you linked to, I would never buy it.

Over the years, I have had several pressure washers, and everyone has bit the dust, where frost has frozen the remaining water in it, and wrecked it either by destroying the valves, or in the last one, actually splitting the aluminium casing.

Even blowing it through with the compressor left enough water in there to kill the pressure valves. Then you have the problem with dirt and mud getting into it, and again, any impurities soon kill the valves, and having seen the state of some winches after a good days off roading, Mud and dirt are definitely going to get in there...

Just my 2 penny's worth...

Good point, i did not think of that, and i should because my two washers had had the same problem, both froze up and had damage. :doh

And to be honest one is petrol and has its own pick up, so i could just put that in the back of the truck and take it off roading. :naughty

So back to just a normal winch then, any ideas in the £250 bracket. as i said the Winchmax looks good, anyone had one/used one.

Search for WINCH-IT or CHAMPION

they are decent for the cheaper end of market. I did research about a month ago on various forums, makeitfit also said the winch-it was good

I plan on getting a petrol one too.

try and get a winch with synthetic rope, so much nicer to handle than steel.

I got a Winchmax 13000 but had the steel cable, now got Dyneema on it, from the same seller that sells the one with the pressure washer, he is sellingsame as my winch in two speed version with Dyneema fitted, for only a little more £s, Rick

Also just noted that on the Winch-it you get Allbright type solenoid, waterproof and movable. The other one has the old style solenoids naked in a plastic box  not so good in the wet and a pain in the arse to move :thumbs

You wont need another one even in a landie :lol

with those tyres of yours :D

Rick, looking at this, you bolt to the crossmember, is that correct. I was going to bolt to a new bumper.

( And you all blew my £250 budget :lol )

think he has a winch plate which bolts to the old bumper mounts?

made my own plate from I beam I had kicking around, and it is all welded direct to chassis with strengthening plates, when time comes to move it to a different motor easy enough to cut it out, Rick
