Right then you sexy people!!!!

I've just got off the phone with Dave at Blood Red Off Road and we got onto the subject of winch bumpers and winch trays, the amount of labour and fiddling involved with the creation of one of these makes one cost near £800 but he has made one before and it did look quite smart but I'm not looking on spending that kind of wonga :(

So, we started talking Winch Trays, Dave has said that if I can drum up enough interest he would be able to make up super strong winch trays that just require a section of the original front bumper to be cut out.

If we can get 5 definite orders then he has said that all in powdercoated matte black.................. £150 :clap :clap

Whose in, I'll have one, just need 4 more people who wont mess about

Sounds very good to me, but I make my own for nowt but a bit of time, but at that price there should be many out there that will be interested, good deal, Rick

I modified my original bumper (inner) beefed it up with some 8mm steel brackets and added a winch tray, very little cost involved . Most of the strength is in the winch tray and 8mm steel brackets, not sure who made the tray as it came with the Warn winch. I cut the cross brace out and folded a bit of metal either end which is quick release and is held in with rivnuts. I cut the downward bar out in front of the rad and welded a bit of stainless across for the bonnet release.

Can get them made at work for next to nothing for me but if a few are interested I would obviously have to pay for them.

To be fair, the winch tray is the easy bit. A simple bit of 5 or 6mm plate through the folder and weld a couple of end plates on and bosh, job done.
Winch bumper styles are a matter of taste agreed, but still 200 quid will get you a properly strong one that looks good enough. Add another 30 quid for personalising it , simples.

Was also thinking that myself:thumb2
very well designed to fit with minimum cutting of the front bumper:bow

I had originally cut the painted section off the lower part of the original bumper which didn't look right so I ended up getting another bumper and marked it up a few different ways.
