It says in the text that it is a resistor, so its a few pence component for £5.

All it does is fool the ECU into putting more fuel in - but it does it all the time so mpg will be horrendous - most likely will be power gains but there ay well also be power loses at other points in the rev range too.

I think to call this device a "Chip" is well out of order, it is only a resistor after all, a "passive device" from an electronic terminology.

Just out of interest what range of resistance will reasonably produce a change? I presume the one he's offering will be max ?
