Dear all

On start up I have quite a bit of grey/ white smoke. the truck will run for a few minutes and then falter, sometimes to the point of cutting out.
If I turn the engine off and restart it runs perfect all day with no issues.

I suspect porous fuel lines, am I on the right track?

Thanks in advance

Regards Paulp

I think white smoke is usually air in the fuel system so your thoughts could be right. Have a look at the lines around rear axle area. Have you replaced fuel filter recently as some of them don’t seal very well.

I would be checking your glow plugs, recon 1 or more are gone, Rick

Sorry forgot to add, the truck starts on the button, never more than a couple of turns.

No new fuel filter, but going in for a service soon, so maybe that will sort it out

Yep sounds like plugs, but could be air, needs investigating further, Rick

Thank you all for your advice, definitely will get it looked at

The key here is the fact that it's fine for the rest of the day!!!

Has to be the glow plugs :D
