I'm struggling a little since a move round in the shed to accommodate another barrel as I'm now filtering at 25 microns, 10 microns and then finally down to 1 micron before de-watering.

My old setup consisted of a couple of old trowels shoved through gaps in the roof with the filter bags hanging off them via Carabiners

So how do you guys do it?

I've been thinking maybe bracket from the roof or something :nenau

sock under sock under sock is how i used to filter it, then i'd clean the socks and filter the same batch again in the same way then heat the filter again,

But what did you hang them from?

a pole in the shed that went from beam to beam

Sounds like a lot of messing around, how long does it take to clean the old oil, so that it's ready to be used and what do you do with all the scraps and bits

Good idea, I'll see if that's achievable in my shed today

It can be a lot of messing but when you're getting loads of oil for free it kind of becomes viable

I suppose so, don't it stink your back garden/sheds out though??

I think if I ran one on veg oil, I would go for the new stuff.
