Wheels n Tyres

Need tyres for my old truck, one of the, is right down there and desperate to be changed and wife got another puncture in a rear tyre today so that makes two rear tyres with repairs assuming they will repair it of course. I don't really like running around on repaired tyres.
I had planned to swop the tyres n wheels from the project truck on to the old car. Then my original idea was to get some fixed hubs and four replacement 17" alloys and tyres. Wanted these to match the spare that i have from my 05 plate as this has a brand new tyre on it.

Trying to work out best thing to do, obviously money comes into it here too and I also dislike mixing brands of tyre too.currently got Toyo Open Country on the old truck which are working out about £84 each on Black Circles.

Nothing wrong with repaired tyres if in a good location and done correctly. If anywhere near the edge forget it, but Central go for it :thumb2

We have 550bhp motors running around with plugs, never seen a problem :thumb2

I've got cooper AT3's on mine & they have been great deadly quiet & tones of grip on road & seem fine in the dirt i've been on. I've got 2 17" tyres in the shed with 7mm of tread if you go for 17's & interested

I still have a "ready plug" kit in it's original tin box, anyone remember them? Rick

Have repaired more tyres than I would like to guess at Jim if it's done correctly there are no problems at all & the repair will easily last the life of the tyre 5mm plugs for centre of tread & 3mm plugs for the outer parts of the tread as long as the plug won't go onto the starting point of the wide wall of the tyre on the inside

and if you do have side wall damage as long as it is only minor a tube is a good answer, Rick
