guys, I wonder if you can advise me?

I am considering getting some new wheels and tyres from ebay. My reasoning is a little odd. I need ONE new tyre to replace one that is wearing down too much in the middle, but the cost of one can often mean more than buying a decent set of used ones, SO, I want to buy a decent set of used wheels/tyres ready to go and use my current ones as spares as the tyres are excellent (except one)

Currently, I have 235/75/r15, so I am looking for that size, but what size can I comfortably go up to, without any other sort of modification/detrimental affects etc?? Also, are there wheels from other vehicles that fit, such as from Mitsubishis etc?

hope you can help, cheers!

235 70 16 will be ok

Or 245 70 16 i have thease fitted

iv got 4 tyres sitting in my garage you coulda taken ur pick but ur a bit to far away they came off ours when i fitted some new ones last month

What are the tyres you have I'm wanting some bigger ones to go on my 15 inch rims

ah, so 16" will fit straight on? cool, I will have a look as that opens up a few more options for me. I just wasnt sure, with these trucks, if fitting bigger rims and different size tyres would affect thinsg like speedo etc?

thanks for the replys so far guys, I appreciate it.

frontera, trooper, musso, shogun/pajero, hilux wheels fit....most Jap/spanish/African 4x4s with the 6 stud pattern fit without modding the vehicle.

Ssanyong and Daewoo musso have the same tire size as the terrano, as I won some on eBay,

Ah I see, cheers Ryan that's what I wanted to know. I have a few sets lined up. Just found some near me in Halifax at a breaks for £160 with Runway Enduros on I might go for a look....

No probs, I'm sure there's a long list of others yet to be discovered, that list I made was just ones I generally know...

bigger rims say1 6 inch will mean lower profile tyres if same rolling radius is required.

think somewhere once read 16s were better than 15s, to do with how tyres seat
on them but cant really see why.

would avoid the 17s as very little choice in way of tread pattern and more expensive,

235/75x15 = 235/70x16 = 235/60x17, last one is /60 as i recall, if isnt /65!
