Hi guys & girls , sorry for the silly question but here goes,

I have a 53 plate 2.7 tdi and love it to bits.

My only worry at the moment is I do have a biggish scissor jack
I don't think it came from a terrrano '

It runs like a dream but what if I get a puncture ?

What would be the best socket or spider to carry with a view
to changing the wheels also if I am going to get a large wrench
what size should the socket be ?

many thanks in advance

get a bottle jack, and i think its a 22mm socket for the wheel nuts, but thats easy enough to verify.

Have genuine jack for terrano if you need one

Not sure if it's same for SWB but for LWB the jack is behind a panel on the NS rear wheel arch accessed from where the third row of seats go.

Wheel nuts on mine are 19mm.
most spares places have them. Try to get the extending one with a double ended socket with 17/19mm. Other one fit sump nut.

Hi all, i would like to ask something on this subject....

I had a puncture the other week, got my sockets etc out, jack from rear inner wing behind a plastic cover, got jack handle out and there seems to be a bit missing off the end to wind it with, i ended up using an 8mm spanner on the end, it took ages and was hard work.....what should be on the end of the handle?

cheers

You should have a wheel brace with square hole in the middle of it to suit that long bar

Dont know about the newer cars but all the ones ive seen are 21mm nut size

Been out and had a look....Big square end goes in jack...small square end slots through square hole in wheel nut wrench, to make it easy to turn. Hope this helps.

Okay....well i seem to have the handle end missing, may just have to weld a handle of some sort onto it....
