There is only one torque setting given, so I presume its the same for steels and alloy wheels.

118 to 147 Nm (87.0 to 108.4 ft-lb)

I would go for the top end torque.

I'm using 80 ft lbs on alloys, the wheel nuts are of a brass like material.

The Ford Maverick glovebox handbook states 98-118Nm ( 72-87 ft lbs)
The Service manual states 118-147 Nm (87-108 ft lbs)

1Nm = 0.73756 ft lb

So I assume that the lower one is for Alloy and higher one for steel....
Am I correct ?
:?

Personally I have never used a torque setting on the wheel nuts, just tightened then up until firm using a hand x wheel brace and left it at that.

At least I know that my petite wife can undo the nuts and change the wheel on her own, even if it's a struggle to get the tyre off the back.

Don't forget to put a touch of copper coat on the thread. :wink:

fair point rossco. mind any one needs their spinach
to get wheel off back door, ok maybe more so back
on when gravity isnt helping.

dont suppose the tyre shops measure it, would be like
FT or very tight :lol:
