What's this tube..?

Having a fettle about in the back, trying to find somewhere to run the wires for the parking sensors, when I unearthed this...

At first I thought it was carrying the wires to the lights but it's empty. It appears to run from the front but just disappears down by the brake lights. Any ideas?

my guess. and only guess is the breather for the back dif.. bit i stand to be corrected..

can you see it on the online manual??

Got it in one.. It's should run though the rubber that goe's to the rear door to the washer ontop of the rear door.:thumb2
Zip if its a clear one then someone before you got it fitted it.

Ive not seen mine at the back, just where it pops through the front bulk head..

at the back as you say it has a cover where you see it when the door is open..

No it doesn't - just tested it.

Half the time the pump goe's head over tit, to tell tou the truth not missed mine not working on this or the last mav we had.

Just about to hit the sack & i sudenly thought

Might be worth while disconecting the electric plug to the washer bottle so you dont accidently fill ya boot with water :doh

& maybe bend the pipe back on itself & tape it to make sure no water escapes

Filled the boot up nicely over the weekend with rainwater thanks...still trying to dry the bloody carpet out and the inside smells like a tramps used sock basket.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least...

No, don't think so unless there was a phantom screen washer in there. It was just stood on the drive most of the time.

Hey listen GB, don't fret it...half the journey with these trucks is sorting all the little niggles when you first get 'em, then once they're sorted they'll pretty much just plough on regardless and you'll forget all the bad stuff - honest!

Hope so mate, hope so. I do love the beast already. Just want my hub back and my alarm working properly. Not too bothered about not having a rear wash-wipe. I dread to think who's been let loose in this previously with all the stuff I'm finding. They say a little knowledge is dangerous.. I'm glad I know nowt, then I don't feel the urge to meddle.. :lol:lol:lol

I suspect its the rear diff breather though GB; I have exactly the same length of pipe under the bonnet going down to my front diff...
