ok, cars running actually really good, but i am still learning about these cars, so what you think of this:

driving along nicely, if I put my foot right down to give it some welly from lower revs, it goes, then seems to drop, then go again...almost sounds like an auto changing gear, whats that?? Normal driving it goes through the gears smooth as you like with power, this issue is more noticable going up hill when your trying to get some speed up...

I'm sure i have read it mentioned on here before??

mine does that , but because mines a auto , i just flick the power switch and take off lol :naughty

yeah its weird, doesnt seem to struggle or anything liek that, just the revs drop, then build up again. no jerking, no noises nothing, just feels/sounds like an auto changing gear...

maybe its summat to do with the turbo ? , pressure relief valve or summat ?

hmm...dunno?? drives perfect other than that, is there anything I can do to check if air is being sucked in? also, whats this pressure relief valve?>

thinking about it, could EGR have anything to do with it?

air getting into the fuel line may show as a damp area on or around the fuel line,

ahhhh right, gotcha, now that i can check, where do the fuel lines run??

some turbos have a pressure relief valve ,i seem to remember my son had this problem in his souped up saab 2.3 , he fitted something called a dump valve .

im probably wrong or way off the mark , but its another option

have you removed the hose from the oil catch tank - it goes back into the air intake ....

do you have a valve type set up between the intercooler and the inlet manifold. pete had similar problem . and his valve was playing up..... not all have this

i have no idea lol! well, i certainly havent, not sure about the chap who i bought it off. You say a tube goes back to the air intake, do you mean the intercooler, or the filter?? also, not sure what you mean by a valve type setup between the I/C and inlet manifold..?? shall i take pictures??:thumbs

yep. need pic of drivers side of intercooler and hose to inlet manifold

oil catch tank hose goes to between air box and turbo

For what it might be worth had a problem with some similarities to what you mention especially going up hill. In my case it seemed to be due to low level of diesel in the tank and maybe a bit of sediment, water or scum in the tank that I picked up a few months ago during the cold weather. I put 10 litres of diesel in the tank and all seems well again.
