Well having purchased a set of 15inch steels off a member i will be looking for a suitable tyre. I like the big chunky look but at present im at standard height although want to make higher. I want a tyre that is good on road too and not too expensive :thumbs

You need to decide your end goal for the truck first mate. Lifted or not, suspension mods or not. Green lanes or more aggressive pay n play day truck.
Then you can talk tyre size and tread pattern, and following along at the rear, price.

Thanks mate. It will be lifted but just by a couple inches. I will only be used on road and green laning and some towing a caravan lol.

I sold him the rims, I suggested a 30" size tyre no bigger for what he plans on doing.

My suggestion is same as above.

the cooper stt's, even thought hey are a mud tyre are a pretty good all round tyre, long lasting and not much road noise at all

Sounds like the coopers has it. Not cheap though are they lol hope they last a little while, :lol

I got stts on.
great tyres on and off road. little road noise great grip in most situations.
BUT if its life your after go for bfg ats they will do more than double the life of the stts
had mine last june. I use the truck thoroughly and have probly got 12 months use left on them

I can vouch for that!!!! They are immense tyres I run them on mine, I am due two new fronts at some point though

A mate at work has the bfg on his county l/r and swears by them, another has khumo KL 71`S and seems to think theyre better than most the more expensive tyres. I suppose too its down to budgets, but i would rather buy a good tyre that will last my daily commute and give me the enjoyment to start learning about off roading, (my first proper 4x4) :nenau i do know i will probably end up in the divorce courts having spent all our money on mods :lol will i be able to put these wheels and tyres straight on the truck or will i have to mod anything?

look up event maxxis ml698 at, they are identical to bfg and i can vouch for road manners(i did 22k on mine and they still had plus 7 mm of tread on. fraction of the price, same look/tread pattern and not remoulds either!

get these in a 31" and bobs your uncle..:thumbs

been offered some grabbers, but wondered if the size will be ok? 31x10.5x15 think theyre a bit wider so will i need to modify to fit?? cheers lads :thumb2
