hi all. my mother in law has a terrano 2.7tdi se+ . year 2001 on a y plate and it has been used for moving hay for horses and horse gear and it stinks inside . it has done 178000 miles and the front drivers wing and the bumper crossmember has been eaten away and the drivers leather seat has past it and ripped to bits . the engine needs some work it keeps coughing out whitish grey smoke and. the heater controls doesn't work and the fan only works on 4. the gear box rattles . because I got my 2001 x reg t2 on 86ooo mile for £1500 with very little wrong ( speedo gone ) . she now thinks she will get £2000-£3000 for hers . I tried to tell her no way maybe £1000 if lucky . what sort of price do you think it would be worth .

its as cream leather . but they don't want to fix it up to sell it . they think they will get £2000-£3000 as it stands that's part exchange and the same colour as mine

no she is very serious . she think her stuff is always better . she tried to sell me a computer once for £1000 and it was only worth £50 at the time . it had windows 95 and a 8gb hardrive and 86 mb ram cd rom and a floppy drive . this was 8 years ago. there was one time they took a old single barrel 4/10 shotgun to a gun shop thinking it was worth £400 and when the bloke said £10 she lost it at him and stormed out shouting at him

Sounds as if it needs quite a few £ spent on it as there is poss other problems Tell your MIL it would have been worth £1200 but as it stinks of horses it's now only worth £200 but as it's her you'll give her £220 for parts:augie
