judging by the connectors,.. something audio/sound system related?

It's a homing device so the previous owners can press a button and it will drive back to them... :lol:lol:lol

Not got one in mine, so it looks like something after market... did it have a mobile phone kit installed?

I thought it looked stereo ish but the terrano has a tape player?? No cd changer so there wouldn't need to be any amp surely? Oh and if anyone has a factory cd player to sell wink wink :augie

I do have the Nissan 6 CD player, but not the mounting plate or cables, as I used them for fitting the new one.

To be honest I'm not sure if I want to get a cd changer or head unit I just think its a bit pointless having a tape player sitting there being useless lol

That is partly why I changed mine, plus the LCD display had gone on the head unit, so you could not tell what radio station you were trying to find, or which CD you were trying to select.

When I got mine, the head unit was not connected, so when I connected it up, it had a tape in it, and started playing..."The wheels on the Bus"...

We have a box of about 80 tapes, dad used to record stuff off the radio back in the 70s and 80s, still has all the tapes, would of been about my age, could've been younger:roflol:

Was/is there a rear parking camera?

Might be a wireless transmitter for one of those maybe?

I suspect the car had a mobile phone kit fitted at one time:nenau

Is that the arial going into it? Could be one of those fm band extenders for jap radios

with reference to the op ..... is there any markings on it at all ? ..... judging by the phono type plugs it looks like its audio type equipment .
