This should be an easy one for you long term t2 owners. I have a light that comes up on the right side of the dash, every time i start the car then goes out about 5 seconds later.. AFTER the rest ie: oil pressure light etc has gone out. It's an orange picture of what looks like a washer wiper. Is it telling me my wash/wipe bottle is getting low on water/screen wash ? Hope it's that easy !

thats what it is, but if your bottle is full i wouldn't worry, theres always one light thats last to go out and frankly it isn't worth the hassle!!

having said that, the bottle is easy to remove if you wanted to shake up the mechanism, not sure if its a float or something else...

is it an oragne light?

look at page below, let me know.

i think it the water in fule filter ..
but i could be wrong..

Hi yes it was an orange light...Inspected the washer bottle and it was below level so topped up with screen wash- pink of course- this morning...no light. I love it when things are that simple !
It was definitley washer bottle, are there Haynes manuals for these motors ? I know they arent great but they do have lots of usefull info.

Hey Zippy you will have to change your name to the shy and useful one:thumbs:lol:lol

im liking the new improved zippy, well done that man:thumbs

suggest its comes on only when very low and park on a sharp side gradient,

also been know to flash under hard acceleration, honest officer.

run mine on full screen wash cant be arsed to work out ratio plus nver freezes
in nozzle can even deice screen with wash, c'mon couple of quid for say
morrisons own.

likewise run coolant 100% helps show leaks cos t2 prone to making puddles
after a thaw from sunroof drains etc. so can see instantly isnt coolant when
some kind person says 'think you go a leak' ete .
