Not tried the Generals on the T2, but they were OK on my Vitara, only thing was, they did not last as long as the BFG's, and I found that once they were half worn, they could be a bit dodgy in the wet on road.

Cooper stts are pretty much an at tyre to drive on, but good in the mud

The general grabber AT2 is not being made any more due to the new EU laws:doh but it has been replaced with the new Grabber AT:augie what size are your wheels ?tyre prices for the 17" can be rather silly so i've found out but will have 2 17" road tyres for sale tomorrow night both with 6mm tread

The discontinued AT2's in stock 16" size are very good.
I have a pair of these stashed in my shed built up on wheels ready for the snow.
They were impressive in the snow last year in 2 wheel drive with them on the back. They also take serious provocation to make the arse end slide in the wet, compared to the BFG Mud Terrains I've got on there just now which are a handfull :lol

Tyre size 235 x 70 x 16 ................what about some wranglers Mtt :augie

I am starting to get Confused.com :lol

Just changed my 235 70 16 Wranglers road tyres for the BFG's. We have Wranglers on the T1 as well, but they are AT's. Both are great tyres on the road, and the ones on my T2, did 15K, and still had 4mm of tread when I changed them.

You should find loads under £100 a corner for 235/70R16, the main thing is what do you need/want the tyres to do, if it's purely road use then just go for a road tyre often marked HP or HT, if you think you might want to take the motor green laning or vist wet/muddy campsites then an all terrain tyre (AT) might be a better option & if you plan on driving over very muddy fields or do a lot of off roadiing a mud terrain (MT) might be the best option. One thing to remember is the chunkier the tread the more it'll cut down your daily MPG, on road handling & noise levels:rolleyes:
