what diesel pump?

how would you know if you had a bosch or zexel diesel pump? had a look round where my pump is, cant see any branding or and numbers.

Not sure if it helps, but the terminal connection for it ontop of the engine is rectangular one, looking down the side of the fuel pump, there is a plastic black box (i assume wiring going in it from the terminal)

Also looking at my ECU behind the enter ashtray, that was a zexel, but im not sure if i assume the diesel pump is also zexel just because the ecu is?

Could anyone please help me... I need professional help! :surrender

I thought that if you have the Hitachi Maf then it was a zexal pump, plate on pump can be seen by pulling back rubber cover in wheel arch. Regards. Bri

thank you for reply, not to sure what my maf is, i know its 3 wire and not 5 wire like some. ...not sure if thast helps at all. will see about lifting the skirt up tomorrow.

Mass airflow meter, it measures how much air is passing into the engine and tells the ECU :thumb2

LOL, no i do know what a MAF is, i mean to say i dont know what make my MAF is, if its hitachi or not, I know some have 3 wires and some have 5 wires, so I guess each brand has its own connection. will look at it today.

My Maf has the the word BOSCH moulded into it.
My understanding was if you had a Bosch MAF you had a BOSCH Pump and that most Diesels were Bosch.

If you intend to run WVO/SVO (and why not at 90ppl?) then you really should have the Bosch pump.

Like others have said, look through the arch.
