What can be done to the binantone and windows ce based sat nav's

here is what i have done to my binatone sat nav which can be easily done.:thumb2

as you can see i have changed the menu system for an easier to access menu system, now i can access which ever nav software i want from a simple icon to make life easier

i am running tomtom one navigation with 860 maps which i think are the latest ones available at the moment. and also running memory maps as well

so if you have a binantone unit or a wince based unit you can have the same type of system ready

basicly my binatone is not just a satnav any moreits like a mini pda i can use what ever programs will run on it like igo8 and garmin, but it is easier to use than a pda as its main function is a satnav so i can run things like memory maps for going green lanning :thumb2

Fez you realise its just the TomTom Navigator software don't you? It can be downloaded from various sources, most of them dodgy, and run on lots of PDA-type devices.

Yes I am aware. I am a regular pirate me.

I had tomtom on my pda but for some reason it's stopped reading SD cards. Can't rely on it.

So looking into other options. Was tempted at a better pda, Nothing brandnew hot on the shelves. Also can then run a GPS Logger on start of green lanes (and export to .KML format for google earth) so I can go back and do them again whenever. This would be on Windows mobile.

But seeing this it would be a cheaper alternative.

I liked my old tom tom software as I could navigate to longtitude/latitude. Great for adding raynet checkpoints. So I can if need be get to any checkpoint without having to think about is this the right turn etc.

the software is the latest and the maps are the latest 860 maps

runs smooth enough, as far as i know you can save fav's i think as well as long and lat as lacroupadeit says is basically the navigator 7 software all tomtom's share the same features as far as i can see
