Yep did some lames in Shropshire with a local group.

There was my T2 a Landcruiser a Td5 Discovery and 2 LR 90's plus a Vitara. A good day was had by all and all were very surprised by the capability of the T2.
On several occasions the Td5 and one of the 90's had to be recovered but The T2 got on with the job no fuss and no recovery.

I've put some pictures here http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/mrnejones/BlackCountryLaners151108#

Only thing to spoil the day was my rear windscreen shattering into a million and one pieces for no apparent reason.

nice pics...

i was amazed how well my T2 did when I went out with the a local lot..

all good clean fun!!

I've never driven a T2, but as the general thought is that an LR can go anywhere, then good on you.

Great pics, looks like you had fun!!
Getting itchy feet 8O

T2s are great off road (as many will know)

I have used one a lot and the only mod it has is 30/9.5/15 BFG MTs.

what a great set of potos who was taking the the pics?
They would make a great calender
Sorry to hear about the rear screen open a window? could be pressure build up :?:
Thanks from me

rear screen

have got a rear screen(still in a rear door)if you are interested.

Using MT's not At's.
There is in my experience no way I'd have survived on ATs.

My mate was taking the pics, I'LL GIVE HIM YOUR COMPLIMENETS, not!

Used my insurance to get the rear screen fitted, cost me my £75 excess.

Great day all the same.

If any of you guys fancy a day on these lanes just let me know and I'll sort it.

interesting selection as in variety of lanes there, those ruts look deep.

Yes certainly different from most Derbyshire lanes I have driven.

As for the T2 only had 1 previous private owner to me afaicr.
And with a mileage touching 198,000 I dont think its ex service but I stand to be corrected.

So when you all coming across for a days laning then

I went out laning myself today & had a great day apart from the 6ft long scratch I picked up down the N/S & my G/box becoming noisey again

Your right there  we stopped for a bite to eat & parked 1/2 on the grass & road & my T2 sank in the grass (to the lower wheel nuts)as it was only firm on the top  The Disco with me only got out with 4WD & it's T/C coming on  I left mine in 2WD & the 1 rear wheel I had on the road pulled me out no probs
