Why don't we have a reference number that can be traced back to the original presenter.
The original card would need a reference number, and the new member could quote this. That way the new member wouldn't know the individual member but the club would.

I have talked to many people in the Staffordshire area about the club, I have never known if they ever joined or not.

We don't need reward for introducing new members, but some form of competition helps as an incentive.

Options could be:
See a list of introductions vs each member.

After say 10/20 members join, a free gift for the presenter.

Or like Screwfix, introduce a friend and get £10 off when they spend over £100. Clearly cash can't be involved, but maybe a token that can be cashed in against the yearly subs, or club regalia.
