Prior to doing some repair upfront near the ecu/fuse boards and relays. This maybe a stupid question but just looking for some confirmation.

Im going to remove the superlock box and this ground point which is for the fuse board to give myself space to work and mimimise the chase of me making a melted plastic puddle.

My thinking from some reading is that as long as my welders return is connected close to where I weld I dont need to worry about disconnecting the battery or any other protection of electrical equipment? Does this sound correct?

Also in relation to the removed grounding point. As long as i do not turn the ignition on with it removed I should not generaye any fault codes or issues relating to those systems?

I know these are probably basic things but better to ask I thought.

With these out the way should have plenty of room

Always disconnect the battery it will save any risk of damage to componets and also stop you blowing the battery up i never weld with the battery connected :thumbs

I sometimes disconnect the battery when welding sometimes not, either way I always have my ground very close to where I'm welding. However I think if you're going to the trouble of moving the wiring tgen disconnect the batt too, I'm just a bit lazy :D
