It's thin !

Do u recon my snap-on/cebora 130 mig would, at 30amps low setting, weld it without blowing holes ?

i welded mine at 25amps and it can be done just dont hang around in 1 place to long and keep stop starting to allow the metal to cool abit before u go again:thumbs
 
some times at work i put ally behind the external corners if i blow a hole and cant be arsed setting the welder for 1 little weld then putting it back to were it is now. we have 3 meter lengths of 15.. x 10mm and i put this in to the corner behind were i am welding so i dont get too much penetration.

try it, it pulls away as mild steel is not going to weld to it..
 
Just plate it and rivet in place and seal with tigerseal or similar. Piece of piss :D
 
Materials are cheap enough. You can make it with off cuts too, nothing needs to be that big really :thumb2 Nip down your local smithy :lol
