After much research iv decided on a sealy mighty mig 150 gas or gasless welder seems to be best of both worlds so far just under £200 new on fleabay gonna try the local tool suppliers first tho see if i can get it locally.

Only found the one bit of rot so far and yes all down to blocked sunroof drains there are rubber grommets under the sills best pull them to let any trpped water out. seat belt mounts look fine will take pics as i progress and post.

hi my mates a mobile mechanic he has bought the same welder about a year ago, a lovely bit o kit ive used it myself, not as powerful as mine, its a slightly smaller machine but copes well with most aspects of motor repairs i made a roofrack for his transit with it using 1" square box section 3mm thick he was well impressed with it, saving him over £220 and giving him a crash course in mig welding to boot. also i welded a new front slam panel in his transit after a mishap in the snow. i think you`d be happy with it, i dont think its designed for continuous everyday use, but as a back up or emergency standby welder its more than adequate for the job, i hope you`re happy with it
