water water everywhere

went out to my car this affy , and as i opened the drivers door , i noticed a large pool of water on the plastic strip where the door closes ,carpet is dry though :nenau, i cant remember it raining during the afternoon , and even if it did , surely the drivers door would stop any water getting onto this plastic strip :nenau.

advice please chaps and chapesses ,

as :nenaua footnote , ive noticed a strange ticking/whirring/gurgling noise when the car is cold , but this goes away when warm, and comes back when the car:nenau is hot

any ideas folks ?

check the drain holes in the bottom of the door, probably blocked so holding water from the last rain day, now decided to drain slowly, there are two holes front and rear, small screwdriver will sort it, Rick
