On the T1, and my 1999 T2, I have a float switch mounted in the bottom of the fuel filter, and a drain tap... The theory is, if there is water in the fuel, it somehow ends up at the bottom of the filter, and the float then lights a lamp on the dash, so I know to drain the water... Never needed to do it...

On Jiggly, the 2002 T2, there is no float switch, or drain tap on the bottom of the fuel filter, just a plastic screw in bung.... Is this right?

Yeah my 2002 just has a bung on bottom of fuel filter no sensor or wires to it at all

Hmmm... thanks.. I think I will add one of those to my list of bits to get from Rick.. I see the plug it there, so I will just have to make sure it works.

Same here just a bung on my 2004, wiring is there though :nenau

It was part of Nissan's penny pinching:doh mine has a sort of drain on the bottom but no sensor fitted which confused me when I got the truck as my 99 one had it but looking at the dash clocks on this 05 I can't find the water light symbol in the clocks

The plug seems to be there on the 02 one, it was tucked under the ABS unit, but I need to short it out, and see if a light comes on on the dash..

Ironically, I was just flicking through Suz's manual, and it makes a big point of saying about the water in fuel light, and how important it is not to drive the car if this light is on... then don't fit it... :clap
