Hi all, I’ve developed a water leak on my project truck. Water seems to pour in from around the sunroof switch. I noticed Saturday when I picked it up but according to my son it was leaking before we took it off the road. So I parked it under the car port Saturday and then Sunday afternoon I gaffer taped all around the sunroof. I’ve still got water coming in or is it residual water left from before I gaffer taped the sunroof. The aerial is above the tailgate although I do know the seal is split. I’m wondering if the windscreen is leaking perhaps.

Any ideas guys. Cheers

Are you sure it's not condensation? Mine likes to get us every so often. If the car is left for a few days, then the condensation will have built up, and run off, so the first time you go round a corner, luckily, from our house it is a Right hand bend, Suz gets a very cold shower... actually, the deep breath she takes is very sexy, so I am not too fussed by the problem...:lol

When mine did have water coming in round the switches, it was water getting into the grove where the feed cables run round, then running through the hole where the motor feed cog passes up into this channel. Mind you, if you have gaffer taped round the roof, then I guess it can't be that..

Pretty sure it’s not condensation as there is a fair amount when it does pour from up there and neither the 3litre or the other two between times have the same problem.
Until I can start removing trims and looking behind lining I cannot really be sure.

Roof rack fixings were leaking on mine, but the water would have a slightly uphill journey to get near the sunroof.

I had serious drippage through the top light console.....leaking through the sunroof.....siliconed the whole thing over, as I reckoned the rubber seal had become porous.....:nenau
