Discovered yesterday morning that the project truck had drips water from the passenger side sun visor pivot point. Did some digging and found the rubber tube had come a drift from the sunroof drain. So put it back on and used a jubilee clip.

Sadly this hasn't stopped the drips of water. Has anyone got any ideas please. Not had chance to look behind the roof lining again and probably wont until Saturday morning.

Just thought of something, I'm wondering if I've scored an own goal :nenau

I cleaned the visor before I fitted it, think it might have some water in it:doh

That said the drain hose was off it behind the head lining.

The rubber surround and seal on my sunroof has become porous, subsequently leaks.....hate sunrooves anyway......so I just silicone the whole thing up.
Not a cosmetically brilliant solution, but no more unwanted showers......:nenau

This I did wonder.
The other thing is that water will travel and the entry point could be anywhere and the visor is just the exit point.

Might be worth checking the other drain tube to make sure it's still attached, I would also bring the visor into the house where it's warm to fully dry out. Failing all else time for your next mod hang a bucket of the visor:lol

Yeah i was thinking that too neil, check the driverside is still connected as I don't want dripping on.

Placed it on a radiator on kitchen roll before I went out tonight, it was dripping out in my hands so pretty sure that was the source of the leak but did me a favour really as I wouldn't of found the drain tube.

As an interim measure you can put some insulating tape round the outside of the sun roof to keep new water out.

You need to make sure the other end of the drain tubes are not blocked and if they are connected OK clean out any debris in the roof channels.

I also use soft top waterproof rejuvinator on the seals themselves or leather food, just reduces the water ingress rate.

P.S. If you have a roof aerial they can leak after a while.
