Came on other day.

Handbook said drain off water from
valve, done that maybe 1/4 to 1/2
pint dripped out,then stopped.

Light still on, any ideas.

Reckon filter is due for replacing
so will be getting one, is its replacement
straight forward as let garage do last one.

There is a workshop article (changing fuel filter )complete with photos in the 'downloads' section of this site. Its an excellent step by step walkthrough of the procedure....looks incredibly straight forward to me

change filter and clean around sensor and check wires/ connections
ssteve

well light stayed on despite draining so invested in a filter...then plucked up courage to do it.

removing filter from housing was a pig.

ended up inverting, bolting back down onto
housing and digging out an old chain filter
remover.

drained fuel into a clean container, no where near 2 litres
as download says.

noticed one of wires going into sensor on last thread of
wire. bt time put back on has broken fully.

put base of sensor, the 44 mm bit in workbench vice
to remove from filter.

reverse as usual easier. lights gone out but that
will be down to the broken wire. the sensor can be pulled
out so hope can get new one from agent.
