For some reason the front wipers on my 95 Maverick have attracted a gremlin.
The problem I thought was the wiper motor as the wipers would not turn off regardless of where the stalk was positioned, turning off the ignition stopped them but they started as soon as I turned the key.
I noticed that whilst in this crazy mode, the intermittent wipe and speed wipe would not function, I separated the plug under the bonnet sprayed with WD40 and next day all was fine with everything operating as it should.....until I needed the washers.
The moment the washers started, the wipers did their bit and stayed on leading me to surmise that the contact that gives the go ahead to wipe whilst washing is not the same as the intermittent relay and as it sticks on wipe, it overrides all other stalk settings.
If my assumption is correct, where is this breaker and can I isolate it so the washers still work?
