Hi guys can you help please(oh and gals)
I hd to brake a bit sharpish this morning on the way back from school.
The maverick pulled badly to the right
Corrected with the round thing by the dash board but a bit scary:augie
I notice now that the beastie pulls to the left when driving normally. I've checked tyre npressures and thts fine so any ideas?
It's happened all of a sudden so maybe a bush or two:nenau

i have the same problem with my t2.under normal braking its fine but with heavy braking it pulls to the right.
fitted new pads and made sure the floating caliper pins where nice and free as they have a tendancy to seize up.
its better but still there.
next job is to change the compression rod bushes as these wear out and throw the tracking out.
its a trait of these trucks to pull to the left slightly because of the steering set up.

Hi Elty thanks for that, but which bit is the compression rod?
Do you think it's worth polly bushes or just replace with standard?

have you checked your calipers arn't seized? only needs one lazy piston.

the compression rod is the part that bolts underneath the back of the bottom wishbone and mounts up to the chassis with a doughnut shaped bush on each side.
the bush wears and the rod moves and also wears the cup that holds the bushes so you might have to make some new ones .
milners sell them its the one in the middle you want.

Hi Tezzer thanks but brakes are good. I did pads and caliper test over crimbo.
They're as sound as pre credit crunch pound

dont suppose you know the sizes of the bolts on the compression rod as i will have to cut mine off

They're bloody huge :lol
I'm just modding mine at the moment so could get the size if I remember
I've given up with the big fat bush nonesense and the bar chewing it's way through the bracket, sooooo, I've rose jointed the ends and currently making up a replacement bracket for the chassis.
