walnut burr fablon

i'm looking for something like this please as i want to mod my dashboard but i would like to fill areas with a walnut burr to coincide with the rest of the trim.

been to a local graphics designer which did not help, the only thing that i found that might work is buying steering wheel covers with the same design and cutting it up.

Have you tried a cheep £1 shop or Wilkinson's? Or may be a craft shop, probably an independent as they are more willing to help and would place a special order.

is it to cover the plastic to make it look like youve got a wood dash? if so then motorman used to do some that you warmed with a hair drier and moulded it into shape. i did a complete dash in a beemer with it and it lasted well. if they dont do it anymore then buy the max power magazene and they should have the sites in there that do them.

lol zippy i do thank you so much, i will look around that site as i think the one in the link is a wee bit darker then the 1998 T2, the one in mine is a light burr.

no wilkinsons over here, now i know they do it i get my mother in shrewsbury to grab me a roll, my daughters boyfriend is a kitchen fitter and all the rolls he brought me were to dark.

what im doing is moulding a half moon on my dashboard and it will have a face plate with cut outs for my sat nav, LCD Volt Meter and thermometer/clock, so would like the spaces with this effect and also put it around my centre window switches.

my son left a rover 220 in the yard to be scrapped as it the timing belt snapped and it was not worth fixing, anyway a mate has been helping me with my jeep so i said if you get rid of the rover you keep the scrap money but i need the heater switch and tyres for my daughters rover 25, anyway he scrapped it and gave me the switch but he said it was easier to remove the whole lot in one go and guess what it had the same walnut burr as i wanted and there was a great lump of it on the dash that might have done the trick, i could have cried.

try and buy the max power mag as i put what i had left from my bmw in my rover and its the identical colour. private message me with how much you need as i think i might have a little bit left. its the same colour as the dash in your pic.
