Is there any point removing the viscous fan from a td27? I heard it improves mpg And bhp but will the engine not overheat? Can you feel a differance when driving:nenau:confused:

It's minimal mate. It does help a tiddly bit in acceleration, but even then it's more theoretical than noticeable
I did mine in favour of elec fans and the biggest difference is it's nice n quiet now :thumb2
It doesn't overheat without a shed on the back up a long hill .
My fans hardly ever come on at all except when , erm, "testing" offroad :naughty

also you can turn a electric fan off when you go underwater or in mud, the current fan kicks up all the muck into the engine area.

I'm installing a electric fan from a terrano with ac, I'll make a tread when it's all done:thumb2
