well new T2 has come with wrong jack,

says Nissan but its a light duty scissor jack,
plated max 600kg!.

rattling around in jack cubby hole.

looked at new bottle jack and reckon this was
a bargain from Halfords, hydralic 4tonne for
twenty quid, there was a 1.5 tonne for £16
which would have done though prefered 2T
as a min for a loaded terrano.

4T gives lot more scope and fits nicely in
cubby hole in wing under sprung? frame.

also bought new wheel locking nuts, theres a
guy on ebay does a set of 5 to cover spare
too, £20 + carriage not bad when Halfords
were £30+ for four.

been looking at a trolley jack for mine but to be honest apart from taking the wheel off i wouldnt have a bloody clue what i was doing under there:lol

but good deal on jack:clap

The problem with a bottle jack is they have a small contact point at the top, and as you raise the vehicle, the angle of the chassis to the top of the jack will change, and the jack can slip out.

The correct jack, slots into the jacking point making a more secure lift.

I now have a 3 tonne trolley jack which has a high lift,(as well as an older 2 tonne low lift trolley jack.) and 4 axle stands.
I double up if I am under the vehicle.

I always jack from the garage concrete floor.

going to replace my original nissan jack with a bottle jack as the standard one is so slow and painfull::doh
will give the nissan one to my little un he can use it to jack his tractor up

realistically, would only be changing wheels at home with access
to trolley jack, out on road would likely call breakdown service
BUT nice to have something on board that can do job and doenst
break bank and stores away so not worried about it breaking loose
in an accident.

have same issue in caravan, where trolley jack lives for benefit
of its wheel changes, dont think this toy scissor would even support
caravan, 600 kg! when gross weight is 1660 so divide by 2 etc.

probably belongs to a micra lol.
