Anyone using anything different than the standard screw bottle jack that comes with the vehicle. Had to use it today, Got stuck. Bottomed out on a hard ridge in a uphill position with soft sand/grit on the rear wheels. Had to jack the front up 10-15cm to stick bigass rocks under it. was a right c*nt.
Thats after trying smaller rocks.

Obviosly the best would be a trolley jack but don't really want to carry that around. Although I could just take the one I have with me if I go offroading.

does anyone use a hyraulic bottle jack?

i just sold two brand file new sprinter bottle jacks one made the giddy heights of £4.20 lol 2.6t lift.

You'll be able to use a hi-lift jack once you've got my bumper:sly
You'll need some sawn off waffle boards too for the base, to stop your jack sinking. They are notoriously unstable though, so you could have a cheap halfrauds trolley jack strapped in the back too:thumbs

totally forgot that i wanted a hi-lift jack. Would of worked a treat today I think.

Although it would of been at a dodgy angle, I could of cut into the hard ground that my front wheels and underside was on to make it lift evenly.

Got a trolley jack in the shed, May have to remind myself to take it out when I play.
