hi i have a 2000 terrano how can i tell if i can use veggie oil thanks

i started a thread on this a few days ago and i'm still lost

Theres a dozen lengthy threads on the subject and the answer is yes - just throw it in.

50/50 SVO to diesel in summer is safe as houses, less or 100% diesel in winter.:thumb2:thumb2

TERRANOII-2,7 D TURBO/1996-05/ZD30/4cyl./2998ccm/113kW/154PS/BHP/3600min-1/BOSCH KIKI/RP/2-Tank-SE2023

it says "2-Tank-Kit" if i have picked it up right in other threads is that you can get away with SVO as long as you mix it and not go 100% as it must be a problem with starting, my mate has a Disco and it advises a 2-tank system he went from 50/50 and had no bother and running better then ever so he stopped putting diesel in and so in the end it was 100% and running great but the next morning it was cold and had problems starting so he said putting a tenner of diesel does the trick.

im running 100% bio with no problems and my mate has a 2000 model and he is on 100%, i reckon put it in and enjoy getting one over the treasury for a change.:augie:naughty

Iceman thats the reality.

Two-tank kits might be a good idea if you want to run 100% SVO all year round. Other than that, 50/50 is a no-brainer in the 2.7.

are their any particual oils to avoid or are they all good?

Dont be so faceitious , people are just making sure before they do the right or wrong thing , simples ;)

It's obviously a popular subject .
I think the basics are lost in some of the miss nomers about the place.
Essentialy VEG OIL, ie Rapeseed, Sunflower, can be added to your diesel at a very safe mix of 50-50 :D (If your a bit meaner like me , you can go pretty much full veggie in the summer, but may have a lumpy start)
BIO FUEL of variuos types at the garage or from specialists in 1000 ltr IBCs is good to go as is INSTEAD of diesel:sly My favourite:thumbs
No running issues other than you'll probably need to cheange your filters after the first few tank fulls, after that you're done:cool:
Enjoy

Don't worry WWN, he wasn't being facetious; the lack of sticky threads on the site doesn't help but the use of the Search function will reveal yard upon yard of vergabe on this and other subjects. :thumbs Its just that this stuff has been repeated many many times, trust me LOL.

my problem with veg oil is one simple thing....................

Cowardice

lmao , must admit I did have a few worried moments when I first started using it, nothing went wrong but you know when youre just sort of waiting for something :D:D
