hi guys my Nissan terrano 3lt is using quite a bit of water I have to fill it up after about 5 days as all gone ? the oil is fine on dip stick and at filler cap no water mixed in with it I cant seem to see any leaks at all . so where could it be going ??
thanks lewis

I recently had the same issue. Had a pin hole in the top of the rad but no puddles for weeks, until it got big enough. Only leaked under pressure.

Water doesnt mix with oil, Oil mixes with water as the oil pressure is greater than water pressure. It will only mix if the head gasket goes between an oil and water way. Does the water in the radiator smell oily? Has anything changed recently or have you played with any hoses. Also check the carpet inside for being wet in case its the matrix.

Could also be the beginnings of head gasket failure, could be worth having a gas check on the radiator, this can detect combustion gas in the water, Rick

Like Luke said, check for moisture in the passenger footwell, pull the carpet away from the centre console and have a feel! If its damp/wet then coolant is leaking in from the heater matrix, you might have noticed loads of condensation on the inside of the windows in the mornings. Mine is leaking and I need to change it, when the weather gets a bit warmer I will bypass it till I can be bothered to do it :lol
