I take it no one one here is effected by the floods? Just looking on the news its dreadful!

They're using a boat on a main road!....

apart from the odd water trap on a few roads round here no. it helps living half way up a big hill tho i just watch all the water run down to the bottom lol.last week a few cars killed their engines driving to fast into some standing water in front of me i just drove around them and carried on my way.

Luckily we are on high ground, but still a lot of dodgy roads around Kent. I think the worst part are fallen and damaged trees sticking into to road round blind bends etc. Very hard to spot at night.

One guy in Southeast 4x4 Responce took the nearside roof of his car out on a tree leaning across the road just round a bend.

sent from my phone, sorry for any typo's.

Lots of damage in the local town of aberystwyth, But I live about 7 miles away in the hills so nothing at home.

My local beach Tresaith was well and truly mushed on Fri and again Mon.
Local river has flooded Cardigan but luckily I've not been flooded yet this year
Here's a little shot I took on Monday way above the car park

We were walking the ferrets on the Beach at Aberystwyth in the early evening, then set off back to the camp site. It was quite a shock to see on the news in the morning, how it had changed over night...

I live over 900 ft above sea level ...... no flooding here :augie.... but they might have some down in the calder valley .

Blimey that's not good.

I did look at the news too :lol you don't get the same effect.

Hopefully the weather will ease soon!

All that salt mist from the sea will be killing the 4x4s

You have to feel for people that have been flooded out especially over Christmas. Don't think it helps much when politicians say it's down to global warming. it's tragic that people are still losing their lives in the floods too.

Quite sad to see landmarks such as in cornwall and devon where natural features such as rock stacks have been washed away.

In my experience around here the flood water is not nice at all and doesn't do your car much good at all. Better to keep out of it.

Abber has been hit pretty hard, down here in sunny Bexhill (had 1Kw of solar power today) we have had a lot of rain some roads have been shut due to flooding, but for those that have visited us here (quite a few) we are fine although we have a stream only 4 feet from our home even in fullest flood it is still 6 foot lower than our floor and as the ground falls away at a great rate downstream there is no threat to us at all, Rick
