All.

Bit of advice.

I am going to put a new set of tyres on my 1998 LWB terrano.
Standard alloys 7J currently on 235 75 R15 Tyres.

What do you recon? 30 9.50 R15 or 31 10.50 R15 :nenau

Are there any clearance issues with either of these sizes?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated as I plan to have them fitted this weekend.
Also I plan on having General Grabber at2's Fitted. Any issues with this brand?

Cheers

Steve.

Its generally accepted that 31x10.5x15 should fit without modification, but worth checking the actual height of the tyres to make sure they conform to that measurement.

Als worth making sure your front torsion bars aren't in need of winding up a bit.

The Grabbers seem to have a good reputation, or for a similar price, Kumho KL71s in that size are price competitive and have won some 'best of' awards in the 4x4 fraternity.

Minor trim on the front wings by the sill only

But

Ya might as well just go straight to 33"s for whats its worth :thumbs

Wish i'd done it 1st time round instead of buying & selling 3 different sets 235/75 then 30x10.50R15 then 31x10.50R15 :doh

Now on 33x12.50R15 & loving them :D

31x10.50 R15 General Grabber AT2's

Had these fitted yesterday to my LWB TDi Terrano.
Had to trim a very small bit off the mud flaps on the front and a small bit off the bottom of the front bumper.

What a difference. Much smoother ride, less noise and I think they look the mutts nutts too!

I would recommend these tyres in this size to anyone.:thumbs

Pictures of my new rubber!

As Requested by Tezzer,

Took a couple of pics of the Terrano showing the new 31x10.50 R15 General Grabbers.

Also see team blue for another picture.

When I first got the Terrano it was a bit low at the front so I have already wound the front torsion bars up until the front is approx 20mm lower than the rear.

Front Tyre

Rear Tyre

Done approx 50 miles today and I am very pleased with the Grabbers.
Minimal noise, very comfy ride and they do look good IMHO.:thumb2

Highly Recommended Rubber!

Cheers

Steve.
