I've currently go BFGoodrich AT's on Weller Steels at the moment and they are wearing a bit thin shall we say, they are 31 10.50 R15 and I've been offered a set of Maxxis Mudzilla 33 13.50 R15's apart from the job of cutting etc will my current wheels take these tyres?

Tyre sizes confuse the hell out me!!

NOT for certain.
Clearly the rim diameter has to be the same...

Each rim is a certain width...

Each tyre is approved to go on a rim of a certain width..
There is usually a range of rims that it can be fitted to.

So
1 What are the width of your rims?
2 What is the range of rim widths that the tyre can be fitted on?

Compare...:nenau

Now compare the exact tyre from that supplier, as the range of approved widths varies between manufacturers even for the same spec of tyre.

:doh Forgot about width. :doh

A 10 j rim is what I would be fitting them tyres to.
A lot of cutting and welding of the tub needed to fit that width of tyre, not to mention that they will get bogged down in mud fairly easy also.

Scrapped this plan off now, the guy I'd agreed to buy them from was very understanding and mentioned that he'd done a similar thing in the past out of excitement lol

Glad to hear it mate:thumb2
Done the same myself, rushed into buying something and had nothing but a headache trying to make it work.

For reference, 13.5" is blinking wide
I tried 12.5s on mine a while back and generally found them too wide. Now back on 10.5 and in offroad land they're brill :thumbs
the wider the tyre the more difficult it is to clear the crud out of the lugs so you end up with dirty great slicks

agreed, I like my skinny 7.50 dumper tyres, great where I go, Rick

13.50 is bloody wide. it'll sink in mud, to compare mine are 10.50 wide :thumb2

if it doesent rub... :augie it will look bloody cool and have lots of tarmac traction though :sly
