Hi guys,
Sorry for being a numpty on this, but I require some guidance on tyre fitment.
At the moment, I'm running 235 70R16 Hankook Dynapro ATM (which is no longer manufactured) tyres all round. I managed to find one new one on fleabay a while back, and intend having it installed, along with the brand new spare on the rear axle, with the part worn rears moved to the front.
I then have to find a spare of some description. Both old/exsisting fronts are badly worn, and I will have to have the geometry checked ( L wearing on inside, R wearing on outside of tread.....does that make sense....wear on same position on both tyres...) so I cannot keep either one as a spare......
My mate has 2 x BF Goodrich AT's from a L/R (sorry for swearing) at size 235 80R16.....
My question is...as I am faced with eventually moving to a different tyre/manufacturer......will this tyre size fit my standard T2 rims?
He's offering them as a freebie as he seems to be collecting tyres and wheels at the moment......he restores L/R s as a hobby......well I suppose someone has to do it.....:nenau
Or should I just NOT fit a spare...if it's not there then it is not an MOT/CT failure, and wait for new rubber all round.......
Again apologies for heat induced thickness......:bow
