Need new tyres so thought I'd ask you guys. Found a thread about tyres here which has been running for a couple of years and to be honest, it confused the hell out of me!:nenau
At the min I have 235 65 17 and direct replacements in that size will do this time. Maybe start modding next year :sly
I do need intermediates though. Plenty of caravan towing coming up this year but I cant bring myself to go for full on road biased tyres.
Cheers.

Find a good independant tyre specialist, they'll give you good advice if you find a good independant.

Personally if I were towing a van I'd prefer full road ht's and have a second set of rims for say at' or mt's but remember they'll have less road grip and also reduce your mpg. Also inform your insurance company as they may class it as a mod.

I like the event ml 698 tyres :thumb2

Then again i don't tow :nenau

mmm. Good point. Like that idea. Can pick up a set of cheap steel rims, and new steels aren't a fortune. Cheers.

Cheers Alex. I'll give them a look.

Tyre wise...
I prefer round ones... :lol:lol
:lol:lol

Seriously, after fitting some tyres, some members have had difficulty with getting them balanced, so if yours are ok at the moment, remember that when the garage are telling you that your car is at fault, or the rims, then you can tell them so...

Often the fault is with the tyre, so keep that in the back of your mind when they try to fob you off, should this happen to you.
The condition is rare, and not related to any particular make, if I recall, but since I have been a member for quite a while and owned my Mav for.......... sorry here I go again.:doh I can recall a few incidents.

Thanks guys.
Have decided to replace what's already fitted which are road tyres and look for another set of wheels and get some ATs. Kind of make sense  to me anyway!
It has matador conquera's (?) on at the min so I've ordered 2 for the front as the rears are ok for a few miles yet. Elcheapo tyres they are at about £80 each but they'll get me through the summer.
My local garage is pretty sharp on the tyre changing but there's no wobbles at all now and i'll make sure they know it.:thumbs

Dunno if it's too late, but I have same size of wheels, 17's. Weirdly I had cheap ass tyres on the rear and a mix of two makes on the front, 235/65/17 on rear 225/65/17 on the front - I know not correct.
On eBay the now, there's a couple of sellers selling Goodyear wrangler hp's from new Nissan Navaras (owners upgrading to all terrains), I had 5 almost new matching 255/65/17 110 h tyres delivered for 300 + 37. The tyres still had knobbly bits and could still see some of the blue red lines out them, I don't think they even covered 100 miles, 2013 dated too. Fitted today (clear arches and mudflats fine too) and rides lovely on the road, even on damp road I had to delibritaley chuck it to get back end even twitch.
Would recommend this route to anyone, good upgrade at decent cost, plenty of Navaras out there upgrading to all terrains.
Adjusted and levelled front suspension too via bolts while car was up on ramp.
Looks good on the van too!
