Twang noise from front like spring type noise ??

Hi guys ive noticed a twang like noise coming from the front area sounds a bit like a spring that has been compressed then released really quickly if yo know what that sounds like any idea what it could be ??

It does it when pulling away when truck is under load like on a hill,sometimes going over bumps and sometimes when going round corners

Has this just happened after body lift ?
Did you take off the rad cowling?

Yep it seems to have only done it since the bodylift I've left the rad cowling on and didnt trim it at the bottom as I didn't look like it needed to be trimmed the viscous blades are close but clear it

Can I do without the fan cowling will it effect cooling if removed ??

Why would the torsion bars all of a sudden start twanging now I've lifte the truck up ??

Bin the cowl or trim it , as when you boot the old girl the engine twists and rocks and so you fan's twatting the cowl. Simples

Guys just an update the twang noise is still there after the cowling has been removed !!

To narrow the sound down it sounds like when a cb aerial whip twangs on a branch when green laning

And it feels like its comIng from the front somewhere would the torsion bars be causing it ??

No and certainly not as a result of body lift. Are you absolutely sure it's from the front?
Just can't think what it is. Does it happen all the time or over bumps or corners or was it just under heavy peddle pushing ? :sly Did you check brake compensator?

Even my 3 year old can hear it

It sounds heavier the the compensator would make

If I was guessing it sounds like the torsion bars flexing or something or even if poss ??

Have u checked front drop links tight and not loose either in the wishbone or antiroll bar.

my front anti roll bar had snapped and was making a dodgy noise when touching drive shaft only on full lock parking or big bumps £12.50 for new one and good as new,good luck.

Nope not the arb or drop links they are all tight just replaced lower and upper ball joints and both cv boots all seems to be tight down there !! Lol
