how can i test /find out if the turbo is working on my new to me t2 99 2.7 101500mls please.
any easy way.
on my 1900 zx td it came in with a distinct pull away.
this t2 to me seams slow in comparison.

The turbo on these is more for power than speed, so you do not get any poke up the rear when it kicks in... probably the easiest way is to go up into 3rd, so the revs are about 1200, then put your foot down, it will pick up slowly, then as it hits the 1800-2000 rpm mark, you will feel it pick up a lot better.

Easiest way is to stick a trailer on the back, you feel it on the hills then.

thanks,i have towed my van and up hills it pulled fine.
might be because i was used to a nippy turboed zx.
will try that though.ta.
