Are the 2.7td turbos interchangeable with the one from a 2.7tdi?

Cheers Gav

I have worked on lots of TD's and more recently own a TDi, and from memory they look the same, but you know what memory is like, makitfit, stinka, fez, and cncfabs should know for certain, as it only takes a small mod to make it difficult, like a different oil return fitting, Rick

Think the outlet to the intercooler 'and or' throttle body is different

Cheers guys bought the correct type of turbo now..

If the turbo is by-passing oil then it can cause the engine to continue running using the oil as a fuel, in extreme cases it can cause the engine to over rev to destruction. :doh Turning off the engine will have no effect, stalling it could be an option, or blocking off the air intake is another, but don't use body parts.... like a hand.

So if a oil leaking turbo is suspected then this does need sorting.

Good luck.

best regards,

Rustic
