has it got 1 or 3 adjustable screwsjust got hold of a tunit 2, i have been told by seller that tunit now want £68 for connection info, unless you can prove unit is less than 3 years old!
anyone got the connection info to hand?

was it from ebay and whats the item no as if its the 1 i saw saying madza b2500 its the wrong 1not arrived yet, i think one, as it is the tunit2.
should be here soon, will check, do they suply a wiring diagram, i think it has 4 wires?
two for supply, two i assume for ecu.

well when i phoned tunit them selfs they said there is two types of tunit 2 the 1 that fits the mazda b2500 is the wrong 1 for the 2.7 tdi terrano:augieIf its defo a Tunut II then its the correct one, no question. :thumb2:thumb2

Well I'm not doubting your conversation Geoff but its not my understanding from buying one, nor anyone elses I suspect. The Tunit II is designed to fit almost any TDi engine.
I think you might have spoken to the cleaner....or perhaps you could point out the difference between a Tunit II and, err..a Tunit II..? I stand ready to grovel in apology :thumb2

As far as I can see the 2.7Tdi pump is controlled directly by the ECU. The pump has very little by way of electronics in it, save for control sleeve feedback and that's passive.to fit to all tdi engines they made 2 types 1 with just 1 adjustment screw which i think you will tell me thats the correct 1 for the 2.7tdi but for tdi in the madza b2500 and the L200 it has three adjustment screws thats what i was told.:doh maybe wrong

The later B2500 & L200 pumps may have embedded control electronics (like the ZD30 engine) with a CAN bus or similar to the ECU.
So it may make some sense that the TUNIT unit would need to be different for the 2 types of inj. pump.
Just dug this out of another forum:
Pin 14 is fuel qty lever position signal from fip to ecu. 2.5v ign on, and same engine idling. It should increase as the fuel qty is increased.
If you attenuate it, it might 'encourage' the ecu to increase the fuelling to compensate.
It goes to pin 7 of the fip socket
Pin 39 is an output from the ecu to the above sensor, 2.5v at idle, maybe a fixed ref voltage - you'd need to monitor it.
it goes to pin 6 of the fip socket
Ecu pin 19 is ground, as is fip socket pin 5 via ecu pin 13.
and ecu pin 16 (&17) is vbat via the ecu relay, also goes to fip socket pin 4.
These 4 pins are what the Tunit connects to.
Finally, Fip skt pin 2 is fuel temp
pin 3 is fuel qty adjuster solenoid drive from ecu (pwm)
Different ECU, VP37 pump though, should just be a matter of pin number translation....assuming the functions remain constant even if the pin numbering changes - I remember from when I installed mine that, not only are the ECUs different as well as the pin numbers (between MkII and MkIII/IV) but the Tunit instructions as printed are wrong for the later model.....I spent ages trying to diagnose an apparently faulty install before phoning Tunit who enlightened me thus :doh
