Anyone know if there would be any problem with fitting 30 x 9.50 x 15 mud tyres on 6J x 15 rims. Think the 6J might be a bit narrow and would prefer to have 7J rims but I don't. Any advice.

does sound narrow, think 7s better.

try googling that tyre width, as have have feeling that
some have equivalent metric sizes.

my old 235/75x15 had some sort of other marking
along 30x8x15 but cant remember now sorry.

might then give idea what can get away with.

Have got two different metric equivalent for the 30 x 9.50 x 15. Either 245 x 75 x 15 or 235 x 73 x 15 (am guessing the 245 is probably more accurate but nearest it may be actually possible to get a tyre is 235 x 75 x 15).

At the moment I have 245 x 70 x 16 on 16 inch rims (the 16 inch rims are 7J though. Got my hands on some nice 15 inch MT tyres but the 15 inch rims I have are only 6J wide. Am hoping I wouldn't need to source another set of 15 inch rims for the tyres and I can get them safely on the 6J rims I have).

Has a look at the tacoma website. Interesting, thanks. Would appear from there that the 6 inch rim would probably be ok. I agree that 6.5 would be better. Will likely be using the wheels and tires on the road a good bit as well though.

Will be fine :thumb2

Thanks for advice. Would you believe the breakers in and around these parts are looking for E 50.00 a wheel or E200.00 for set of four and that's with no tyres. So was hoping I wouldn't have to go and get another set.
