yay, straight pass no warnings or any issues.

so heres to another year of our trusty wagon
taking us everywhere. not bad for ten years old.

not really, wouldnt want to take it in knowingly with
an issue but never know something underneath or
emissions could catch you out. on latter the terrano
always needed a bottle of whatever to get it thru
injectors or whateve. but no mention for troll.

it does have the odd running issue like the check light
comes on under load sometimes and the throttle seems
to stick rarely but find if ease off and try again off it
goes like a rocket.

mot garage feels that if light clears when turned off then
is a minor issue but i think it will go into a main agent,
when ive remortagaged! to read codes, guess could
even be a fault in fault system as nothing else to show
for it when it does light.

hi deano, thanks.

what sort of age and mileage or the rac trolls when they are retired, as orange is
Ali's fav colour. dont see many in private hands compared to the transits.

hi ya

The last 1 i saw down at mvs j31 m1 was about £5000 ish plus vat but they get some hammer with the weight they carry about. Running weight is about 2 to 3 tonnes with all the kit we carry. My tranny weighs about 2.8 tonnes and thats without my six stone in it lol. As far as i know they should be a 54 plate comming of road soon but i think its done around 150000 miles. Theres 1 knocking about Barnsley ex rac troll i think he is some sort of game keeper on wentworth estate. All seats are just thrown in the back as they are used as a van and were got for nissan contract. I have used one in winter and are not good to work out off as a service vehicle nothing like working out off tranny.

an rac troll passes me every day ging in the opposite direction and it looks so overloaded if i were a peeler i would pull it over! the tow bar is practically on the floor! but then again so is mine usualy :augie

Mmm can you get any contact numbers, I would love a trol in that orange.

I fancy a G4 Landy nearly the same colour just to much money for me.

looking to build a full of road machine next year so i can do more laneing :thumb2

are they that colour orange all over? inside and out? or are they just resprayed externally for the RAC?

well looking at the tranny in the mvs site, the interior is as orange as the outside
but imagine they aquire a lot more vans than patrols, guess could be white and
painted/vinyled after....Deano c'mon you're needed.

yes the transits ae all orange i have had experience of them, but they are quite different from standard transits, they have different axle ratio's etc. But transits are (or were until recently) Uk built and bought in large numbers maybe Trolls are different? as you say might be a 'skin' hence not so many orange ex rac patrols as, like tangerines, they have all been peeled! ;)
