Help ? I'm trying to tweak the pump up a bit for more fuel on my Trol
I can't make any sense from recent pics n posts .
Where is the adjuster on the pump?
Do I turn it in or out ?
Ta :bow

It's the 4.2 N/A and I think it's rotary :nenau Not well up on pumps how do I tell?
I have now located the adjuster and it was covered in some sort of shroud covered in some sort of mud pie :lol
So do I turn the screw in or out ?

I have no idea, just letting you know that I do read your contributions :thumb2

Ohhh nooooo, this is a bad day for Nissan kind...

The Great Makeitfit :bow font of nearly all knowledge, and owner of the biggest hammer... needs help... and not only that, but on a tuning issue...

What has the Nissan world come to? :lol

Well we all have to learn somewhere :lol
I was the same when I started with the T2 :augie
I'm experimenting now so will deduce the answer anyway but quicker if someone else already has the info to share :D

:lol:lol So do we get pictures for future reference when you work it out?:thumbs

Hey that's Zippy's line :lol
If you want but it's just a ruddy bolt

Update: it seems better with the screw turned IN 1/4 so far. 1/2 a turn in was nuts, idle revs were up and battle ship smoke screen out the back :doh I turned that back a bit :lol

It's probably a rotary pump ( injector pipes come out rear of pump in a sort of circle ) Inline pumps are rarer (but stronger) and the injector pipes come out in a line on the top.
You've done it right for a rotary as you have already discovered. Screw in about 1/4 to 1/2 turn. It's opposite for an inline, screw out. :thumb2

fit a turbo and intercooler then turn the diaphram 90 degrees then screw the star wheel 2 turns down get some serious power . just done mi mates terrano pulls awesome

Yep conlusion is Rotary pump, pipes out the back. Wound IN the screw a tad over a 1/4 turn in the end. I'll turn it more when the supercharger is on properly :sly
Turned down the idle screw and all seems rather zoomy :naughty

Makes a big difference doesn't it? I think they're all set with emissions as priority. You could tweak the pump timing a bit too. That's made a big difference on my TD42. I'm just waiting for a larger bore flexy arriving for the exhaust as well as a straight through middle box. Looked inside the flexy and couldn't believe how small a bore that thing is !

How's the supercharger project going ? Haven't seen anything about it for a while.

S/C needs a new bottom pulley being made . That's happening next week . As soon as this Welsh w/e is done the axles are coming off.
While that's happening the bottom pulley is coming off the engine and being modded :naughty
This is why I wanted to suss out the pump.
Now tell me how to change the timing and what benefit etc :thumbs

Looking forwards to seeing how the S/C works out.

Here's what I posted on the pump timing. http://www.nissan4x4ownersclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19278

Again, I believe the timing is set for emissions from the factory.
I know you have a rotary pump so the mountings might be different, but the theory is still the same. Turn the pump a whisker anti clockwise when looking at it from the front of the engine. It really is a whisker too, I moved mine about a millimeter on the scribed lines on the pump and timing case.
