Just ordered this little lot :

After the breakdown on way to Cornwall I feel the old girl needs a proper pampering and a few more tired bits need replacing !

Roll bar links, so I can put my front arb back on, shocks, drilled and grooved disks with pads (research says mtec are good), a wheel bearing for n/s, a cv boot for o/s as the shitty stretch boot has failed already.

Picked up a new stub axle from cncfabs on way home yesterday so will strip the new o/s bearing and refit that on this hub of its ok ( this stub axle was damaged when wheel bearing exploded and temp fixed with a grinder on way to holiday )

i have the sames discs n shocks on my watch list as are a new complete standard exhaust iv grown fed up of my noisey straight threw an electric cooling fan n switch and some 100watt spot lights

I've got the same shocks on the rear, they are very good

Had the orange ones mate, already killed a set of drop links with poly bushes ;)

I'm going back to rubber this time as poly just hinders articulation

Started to do this today, ended up just fitting my new shocks lol

Basically the hub/stub axle has a seal for the inner side and this isn't included in the "firstline" wheel brg kit, whilst stripping my spare front hub I got from cncfabs I realised that I've got to replace this inner seal as well or it's only half a job. Genuine only, and £15 each. There's a needle roller inside stub axle too, but that's fine tbf so will just clean these well with petrol and regrease

So can't be arsed to take anything apart until I have all parts, then I'll do wheel brgs, and cv boots

Disks arrived and they are looking pretty decent tbh :)

My front drivers side shock absorber is loose

It looks like the rubber bush has deteriorated

What dio you use to undo the square nut? I've never seen anything like that before

I replaced my Cv Joints in April. Not something i enjoyed.Mainly the Titanium in my hip was playing up and it was raining also.It always seems to happen to me.The day starts off dry, then half way through the job in hand it pisses it down.

Lol that's a captivated/fixed nut

You undo the other side ;)

:lol:lol:lol

Reminds me of when I replaced the wishbone on my Honda Jazz, I huffed and swore at the bloody nut that holds it on, only to work out that it was a captive nut :doh:doh.
The other side came apart rather easy after that :lol
