transfer box different

just found out today, that the transfer box is different on the manual to the auto and if you want/need to use one for tother it can be done but a complete strip will be needed, in order to change the front cover which on the manual incorporates an oil catcher under the input shaft to lube the oil seal, this is not present on the auto as I guess there is plenty of oil splashing around at this point, Rick

the box I converted to fixed low was a spare in the workshop, (came of Briggies Mistral when we fitted a used auto box complete) came to fit it today and saw the difference, fitted it anyway to the off road motor as not too bothered if the seal runs dry, Rick
